Dr. Vinoj Gopalakrishnan

My work follows several research areas, which deal with important molecular mechanisms engaged in SRB biofilm formation: (a) Studying key regulators that are involved in the SRB biofilm formation or dispersion and how they respond to copper stress, and (b) Develop rapidly achievable procedure for gene knock-out in SRB to study gene function in biofilm architecture. This work will be instrumental in delivering new technologies and strategies to control biofilms in industrial and biomedical application.
